~ “I tend to spend a great deal of time on the pottery wheel throwing my work. When I sit down at the wheel, I typically have designs in mind and will throw many of the same forms. This helps me to hone my craft and also makes each piece a little different from the last”.
For her horseshoe crabs, she makes a plaster molds from real horseshoe crab shells that she found on local beaches in Rhode Island. Then, she slip casts these forms and hand trims the spines to make each crab unique and one of a kind. They can be placed on a table/shelf or hung on a wall.
